Social innovation: a broad concept for exceptional and innovative initiatives, set up by people and organisations working for a brighter future. Social innovations are rapidly gaining ground. All the more reason to come to the 3rd edition of the European Social Innovation Week, which will take place in Tilburg (The Netherlands) from the 14th till the 18th of September.
The Social Innovation Week is all about new and inspiring forms of cooperation between entrepreneurial citizens, businesses, (local) governments, education and science. These cooperatives are developing new ways of thinking and working, and new products and services.
During the European Social Innovation Week (ESIW) several interactive workshops and meetings are organised. On Tuesday September 15, our academic director Flor Avelino will give a workshop on the multi-actor perspective on social innovation.
The most eye-catching or extraordinary initiative will receive the Social Innovation Award. This prize is awarded each year by the organisation of the ESIW.
